Recruiting

General Basics
Recruiting the members that fit your guild best can be a tough process, but here is what we know.
The meat of recruiting is what your guild can offer other players and what your requirements are to be a part of it. The consensus is to bullet out your information so that it doesn't become a big block of text. It is easier to read and harder to just skip over with eye-catching information.
About the Guild
What level?
Where are you at on commission chapter completion?
What about daily commission rewards?
Do you have a chat or group to communicate with?
If competitive, what do you usually rank?
When is your co-op?
Attention Grabbing Graphics
Generally wherever you are recruiting, you need to attract the visual attention of potential recruits so that they'll read your ad all the way through.
How to Contact
When recruiting, be sure to leave a way for potential members to contact you! They'll have their own questions or concerns before applying and it is good to establish that conversation.
General Tips
Use positive language so that readers feel good about your guild. For instance, "Join our Discord!" instead of "DISCORD IS MANDATORY."
Use exclamation points to convey enthusiasm and bold italic and/or different sized text to emphasize the important parts of your message.
Use emojis as your bullet points for attention.
Include fun quotes, phrases, memes or anything to convey the personality of your guild while grabbing attention.

Inside the Game
In Association
Presidents and Vice Presidents can make their guild more visible to prospective applicants by paying 500 diamonds to land their guild a spot on the “Recruit” page that guildless players will see. To do this, go to your associations home page, and then tap on “Rankings” in the upper right.
From there, tap on “Search” and then “Recruit”. Choose one of several pre-made text lines to accompany the post, and then tap “Post”. An in-game recruitment will be kept up indefinitely until all your current member slots are filled.
This method of advertising is almost guaranteed to net your guild huge numbers of applicants, who are often low-level.
Starry Corridor
Some guilds recruit players via posting in the Starry Corridor. You can do this by creating a solo post or a group photo with a potential applicant. Be sure to mention the guild name and ID!
Here is an example of a solo post advertising a guild. Due to the 50 character limit when captioning SC posts, some players use background items to spell out their association’s ID number or name in their post.
Hotlisting with a guild advertisement is the most efficient way to gain members through the Starry Corridor.
If you are going to take group photos with prospective members, remember that most people don’t appreciate unsolicited advertisements. Only take group photos advertising your guild with someone you know is guild-less. Some players make posts saying that they aren’t in a guild- these are the perfect posts for group photos.
Housing
Recruiting via housing consists of either advertising your guild in the BBS of someone’s house, or advertising through your own house.
Recruiting through BBS involves visiting people’s houses and commenting (at the minimum) your guild name and ID number in the BBS. The BBS has a slightly higher character limit (60 characters) than the Starry Corridor, and it also allows users to reply to comments, so some may find it easier to recruit in this space. Again, only advertise to players you know are guild-less.
The second way of recruiting through housing is by transforming the first floor of your house into an advertisement. Many players who advertise this way change their chibi’s self-intro lines to information about their guild, or by spelling it in the room using items and decorations.
Because there is no equivalent to the Hotlist in Housing, there is no way to ensure that more people will see your house. Whether people see your house is entirely random, so you can’t guarantee any turnout from this method.

Outside the Game
Nikki Group Finder
Nikki Group Finder (NGF) is a site created by Sweet Cupcake, who is also the creator of Nikki’s Info! NGF is a recruitment space for associations, housing communities, and players looking for friends.
By looking at the tags in the sidebar, you can sort posts by “Need Members” or “Need Association”, and then further criteria such as Sand Skirmish days and times.
Reddit
r/LoveNikki is the unofficial subreddit for the Love Nikki community. In this subreddit, there is a monthly guild recruitment post, which can be found linked in the subreddit’s sidebar. Please note that stand alone posts or comments advertising your guild WILL be removed- the only acceptable way to advertise your association is through the monthly post.
By clicking on the link, you’ll be directed to a post where guild recruiters advertise themselves through commenting on the post. Each guild is permitted to comment once per day. There is no way to include images (except via link) in a Reddit comment.
There are sometimes players looking for guilds who advertise themselves here, too- be sure to keep an eye out for them and reply to their comments ASAP!
Discord
In any Love Nikki Discord Server, look for a Guild Advertisements kind of channel. Be sure to read the channel description or the pins to follow the server's rules. For example, most only allow one post per 24 hours.
